Yet another maid gone!
Well, after 2 weeks. Another maid is GONE! so that's 6 maids in one month. And Oh my god are they fucking stupid. Makes you just want to pack up and go home :(
I hate hired help here. they all suck and all stupid and you cant live without them. So what a fucked up situation.
BLAH!!!! Please vacation come quick. I need to get out of here!
EDIT: So, after the maid leaves, she sends txt messages to my mobile phone saying things about my GF. and now shes taking it out on me? When will i get to a normal place? This is like normal life to these people. This is insane. Always a drama. Just fucking work and shutup like everyone else in the world. They are lucky they are here in this shithole. Because no place else would EVER allow this.

First Vacation in 4yrs!
Well,
I've finally said fuck this. And, I am taking a 7 day vacation to hong kong. Yay!
I found a 5 star hotel and I'm staying in the best room they have. And, I'm going to treat myself like a king. Hopefully, this will clear my mind. It's going to cost alot. So far $1500 USD for just the room + flights. But, I havent taken one in 4yrs so hell its worth it.
7 days of no cell phones / no computers / no tagalog. NICE! I cant wait!

Most annoying things
1. Everytime you see a philipino. They are texting back and forth. All day and night about non-sense. and talking about everything and everyone.
2. Friendstering / Myspacing back and forth doing the same thing as the text.
3. Crowding around in groups from work because they work 3am and have no life outside work.
4. Go into any reasurante and try to order food. They will repeat your order 10 times and they will fuck it up 100%.
5. Everytime you hand anyone money. They will repeate the exact amout you gave them. Might sound like a good idea. But, fucking annoying everyday 24hrs a day.
6. You go outside. and people for no reason stare at you. Like they NEVER saw a white person before and you are an alien from out of space. I mean what the fuck? They are the goofiest looking people i ever saw in my life and they stare at me?

Maids / Hired help in Philippines
Everyone always say how lucky you are to live here and have hired staff. For example I have a maid and a driver. Sounds really nice doesnt it?
Well, the real truth is. Yea, they get the job done. but, it takes them 10x longer and is about 10x more complex. and you need to watch every move they make. Because, they will rob/steal and cheat you to death.
Example would be. You send the maid for canned tunna. She comes back 30mins to one hour later with nothing in her hands and says 'Sir no tuna' in very broken english. Now, you tell her did you check the store next door? she will reply 'No, sir' So, you'll send her back down! and she will come back with tuna with a smile on her face of stupidity. Yea, it sounds like nothing and it sounds funny. But imagine doing this everyday :) It's really nuts. THEN! the worst part. You get soo damn lazy from letting these people do your tasks. Even though you are aggravated and pissed and want to kill someone you either are TOO lazy to do it or you dont remember how :)

One Year and 3 months Here
I've always had minor stress/panic issues. Taking minor sleeping pills and stuff once in awhile for normal stresss. Now since living here for a little over a year. Im not popping .5 xanax a day sometimes twice a day and taking hydroxine(iterax) for allergy.
Now a friend of mine is complaining with the same issue. Cant breath/tightness in chest. It's weird. Im taking my first vacation in 4 yrs to hong kong and going through all the meds I need to take. It's fucking rdculous. Must be 10 differnt things for a 26yr old. Feel like im 100 yrs old.
Not sure if its just from being lazy and doing nothing. Or just total stressed out and burned out. So i will take the vacation and come back and see how things are.

Buying things in a store
Well, this is my first post on this thing. I have been very frustrated lately with local life here. and I thought maybe writing my ideas out might help so here goes.
I went into the apple powermac store to buy a macbook pro / 2 cinema displays and a few other items. Since, we called a day before they actually had all the items ready to go as soon as we got there. Big surprise :) But, then when i tried to pay with my American express card. I saw them start to smile and turn their heads and get nervous. Then you see one other person grab another and grab another till we saw 10 people + the store owner in front of us. Then the owner picks up the phone and begins to call the local bank. 30 minutes goes by and I start to get aggrivated. Here I am spending close to 10K USD and the are giving me a hard time. So, she finally calls american express who asks to speak to me. And I clear it all up and we are good to go so they say. Now, Another group comes up to write up the paper work for EACH item with EVERY serial number. Now, this process is going almost 30 more minutes. Now, at the end of all the paperwork someone says 'How about the payment?'. I almost jumped over the desk and killed them all.
I dont understand. I'm in a country where money is important and needed. 10K usd dollars is like gold. and I am a white guy. Why do they all think I am going to rob them? Im here to spend my money and better their lives and yet they do everything to make me look like some theif. So, litterly 3hrs later we finally get all the stuff and they say thank you. Im about to have a panic attack and have a heart attack at this point. because there is 10 people and 3hrs of my time gone.
I wish I had some pictures to post here to show you their faces. But, it was the most retarted looks you'd ever want ot read.
